Bushfoot Golf Club, 11th May 2025 — The links of Bushfoot Golf Club came alive as golfers gathered for the much-anticipated second playing of the Rock Solid Open. From seasoned club stalwarts to golfers new to the game, the day was a celebration of competitive and community spirit.

With the Atlantic Ocean providing a dramatic backdrop and the course in pristine condition, it was Gary Lyttle who used his local knowledge to rise above the competition to claim a well-earned victory.

Bushfoot Golf Club, nestled on the North Antrim coast near Portballintrae, showcased its rugged beauty and links pedigree. The greens were true, the fairways immaculately prepared, and the rough proved a test.

With panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the River Bush estuary, and even glimpses of the Giants Causeway coastline, the players were treated to a day of golf wrapped in natural beauty and sunshine.

With Gary Lyttle now etched into the history of the Rock Solid Open, attention will soon turn to future competitions. But for those lucky enough to be at Bushfoot Golf Club on the 11th of May, the memory of a sunlit Sunday filled with great golf, good company,  a welcoming atmosphere from the staff and members alike and breathtaking coastal views will linger for a long time to come.

Congratulations again to Gary Lyttle — the 2025 Rock Solid Open Champion.
